A charity goat sale in Guernsey has raised more than £73,000 for two charities, with the top lot, Geo, the diamond designed goat selling for over £10,000.

The auction was held at St Pierre Park Hotel yesterday evening to raise money for Autism Guernsey and The Guernsey Adult Literacy Project.

The 52 life sized goats have been on display across the island over the summer.
