Capsized boat found off Les Minquiers

Emergency services have been stood down after a motorboat capsized off Les Minquiers. 

The Jersey Lifeboat Association, the RNLI and Channel Islands Air Search were called out to help. 

The owners have been contacted.

Attempts were made to tow the vessel back to St Helier, but the boat broke up and sunk.

The French boat was spotted by the Condor Rapide during its sailing from France to Jersey.  

The ferry remained near the scene, near the North East Minquiers Buoy, until rescue services arrived.
