Warning over underage drinking in Herm
Visitors to Herm are being warned that underage drinking is illegal following a series of incidents on the island.
In a Facebook message, the island says adults must not buy alcohol for anyone under the age of 18 - including their own children.
Anyone breaking the rules may face arrest, bans from local premises and even be removed from the island.
It comes after furniture in the courtyard of the Mermaid Tavern was damaged. The five young men involved have since been identified after being picked up on CCTV.
Constables will now be carrying out spot checks throughout the summer.
Anyone who appears under the age of 21 will be asked for a form of ID when trying to buy alcohol.
