Guernsey students make a splash to mark the end of the school year
Year 6 students from Vauvert Primary School enjoyed jumping into Guernsey's bathing pools this afternoon to mark the end of the school year.
The annual tradition involves jumping into the sea with their school uniforms on.
But this year, the students decided to raise money for the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation's Aggies Burrow.
It was in memory of their classmate Aggie Nicolle who died from neuroblastoma in 2016.
Aggie's family stayed in one of the charity's flat next to Southampton Hospital during her treatment.
So far, the students have raised more than £800 for the charity.
The students said they were "really happy and proud" to be able to raise money for the charity that supported their friend Aggie.
The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation was founded in 2003 by three-time World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx MBE and his wife Jo, following the premature birth of both their children. The charity is supports premature babies and seriously poorly children and their families in times of need.
It helps families on a daily basis by supporting the local neonatal unit with equipment like incubators, nursing chairs, breast pumps, pushchairs and training dolls. It also provides baby boxes full of essentials for babies and parents.
