Jersey's HMP La Moye is open to visitors once again.

Prisoners will be allowed to have up to three friends or family members visit them, but all will have to be from the same household. Children under 12 years old will not be allowed into the prison.

It comes after an easing of coronavirus restrictions, but physical distancing measures still remain in place meaning inmates will not be able to hug or kiss their loved ones.

Prisoners, visitors and staff supervising visits will have to wear face masks and all are being asked to use the hand sanitisers provided.

The Deputy Governor of La Moye, says he understands how important it is for prisoners and their families to stay in touch with one another.

The process of booking visits will be the same as before lockdown.
