Guernsey election to be held on 7 October
Guernsey's first island-wide election will now take place on Wednesday 7 October.
Islanders were originally supposed to go to the polls on 17 June, but it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Politicians have now agreed for it to take place on the first Wednesday in October, after several dates were tabled.
They have also agreed that the electoral roll will close on Friday 21 August.
It was originally agreed that the election should be pushed back to June 2021, but after Guernsey recently entered Phase 5 of lockdown, the States was asked to reconsider and bring it back to this year.
Polling stations will be open from 8am until 8pm, with many islanders having already registered to cast their ballot by postal vote.
Deputies that were elected in the 2016 Election, will stand down from their post on Sunday 18 October.
