New rehabilitation area planned for Jersey's General Hospital
Patients who used to be treated at the Samares Ward in Jersey could soon be seen at a new inpatient rehabilitation area at the General Hospital.
The 23-bed ward at the Overdale Hospital - which treats people with severe brain and physical injuries - closed in March and staff were redistributed.
The government said this was partly because of patient demand, but also a measure introduced to help manage the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, new plans suggest it might not re-open, but be re-located instead.
