There has been a rise in demand for meals on wheels services across Guernsey.

With a number of elderly islanders shielding as a result of coronavirus, Guernsey's volunteer services have been delivering more meals during the last few months.

It is a vital service for Guernsey’s older population, with many living on their own throughout the pandemic.

Like most organisations, the volunteer service has had to make drastic changes as a result of coronavirus. With most of their customers in the vulnerable category, taking extra precautions when delivering has been vital.

Their work now has the royal seal of approval too. They recently received the Queen's award which is the MBE equivalent for volunteer services.
