Cineworld Jersey to remain closed until July

Jersey's only cinema will stay closed until July despite being allowed to operate from next week.

Cinemas, museums and arcades can reopen next Friday (12 June) as Jersey moves into level two of its exit from lockdown.

However, Cineworld in St Helier says it will not show any films until at least July as it follows the UK's lockdown restrictions.

Other sectors that are allowed to re-open from 12 June include:

  • Hair and beauty

  • Fitness

  • Healthcare

  • Indoor cafes and restaurants

  • Libraries

  • Theatres

  • Concert venues

  • Community centres

  • Youth centres

  • Places of worship

  • Museums and galleries

  • Arcades

  • Bowling alleys
