Sark's sheep racing has been cancelled this year.

Organisers say "owing to the pandemic and this beautiful island being locked down, we have cancelled this year's highlight of the Channel Islands social calendar".

The event which has been running for over 20 years, sees sheep racing down a track with teddy bear jockeys tied to their backs.

It is usually one of the busiest weekends for the island, with large crowds gathering for the festival.

While organisers have made the decision to cancel this years event they say sheep racing will go ahead in July 2021.

The weekend also includes a fancy dress parade and live music, money raised during the weekend helps pay for islanders' prescriptions.
