Specsavers has set up a video consultation service to check people's eyes and hearing aids.

It is the first time the company has taken its consultation service online.

Optometrists and audiologists will offer advice and care via video link and over the phone.

The company says its service is designed to cover concerns ranging from eye health and changes in the quality of sight, to contact lens aftercare and audiology health and aftercare.

The service is available to all, not only Specsavers customers.

Specsavers staff will be able to advise customers on how they can get their prescriptions and buy new glasses via their online glasses store.

More information on eye and hearing health is available at Specsavers online.
