A statue which was due to be unveiled in Guernsey over Liberation weekend will now be hidden for several more months.

More cryptic images of the family statue have been released exclusively to ITV Channel, but we will now have to wait until lockdown ends for the big reveal.

The life-sized sculpture depicts a family with representations from the past, present and future.

It has been designed by college lecturer and local artist, Mark Cook, who also designed the donkey and foal statue located in Market Square.

Although the final bronze statues are in Guernsey, they cannot be installed during current social distancing restrictions.

When the piece is installed, those behind it hope people with interact with it and share photos on social media.
