Alderney boatowners unable to use their boats
Boatowners in Alderney have not been able to use their boats, despite lockdown rules being eased to allow them to do so.
Rules had been relaxed by Guernsey’s Government to allow for recreational fishing to be carried out.
Divers from the UK need to check moorings around the island before they can be used for insurance and safety reasons.
These checks are usually carried out in February and March. But coronavirus travel restrictions have prevented that from happening.
The harbourmaster says they are trying to get the divers over as soon as possible.
