Pupils in Sark have gone back to school as lockdown restrictions are eased.

The students will return in phases, just one to two hours at a time and will be taught in groups of two or three to limit contact - social distancing guidelines will remain in place.

The decision was made by the Education Committee of Chief Pleas, the island's the Pandemic Emergency Committee and relevant authorities in Guernsey.

Sark's government says the school will be cleaned throughout the day and adds "there will not be any playtime" during school hours.

There have been no cases of coronavirus in Sark.
