A shortlist of sites for the location of Jersey's future hospital has been delayed by around four weeks.

A Political Oversight Group for the project set a milestone of early April to outline two or three feasible sites for the new hospital.

Economic Development Minister Senator Lyndon Farnham, who chairs the group, says the delay is 'unavoidable' because of the outbreak of Covid-19.

He maintains that the government is 'forging ahead' with the project and that islanders can expect an announcement on the project by the end of May.

Senator Farnham says the delays mean the overall project could face delays of a few months.
