Guernsey children to find out school choices ‘within the next week’

Children in Guernsey will find out which primary or secondary school they will start at in September "within the next week".

Parents and carers had been told that they would need to wait until the final term of this academic year to find out.

Now work has progressed and admission letters will be sent out confirming information in the week.

Deputy Matt Fallaize, President of the Committee for Education also took the opportunity to thank parents and carers for their work during lockdown.

Parents are required to list their preferred schools for their children to attend.
