Guernsey removal companies given advice on how to operate

Removal companies in Guernsey have been told how they should carry out their work.

They were one of the businesses allowed to reopen as part of a phased easing of lockdown measures.

The new advice has been issued to support staff and customers remain safe.

Staff should travel separately to any property, ensuring that no one there has had coronavirus in the last two weeks.

Home owners are being asked to leave all doors open to reduce the amount of surfaces removal workers touch.

Removal workers are also being told to avoid using toilets unless separate ones are provided.
