Jersey to enter a further two weeks of lockdown
Jersey will enter a further two weeks of lockdown from Monday (27 April) says the island's Health Minister.
The Stay at Home order has been agreed to on the recommendation of the Medical Officer of Health.
The Health Minister, Deputy Richard Renouf, says it is to "allow us time to plan our detailed exit process".
Jersey's Chief Minister said the government's "exit strategy" would be announced next week.
The Government has released a document which shows if lockdown measures were to be lifted after April with just social distancing rules in place, the number of new coronavirus cases would dramatically increase.
At its peak, the Government estimates there would be around 800 new cases of coronavirus a day by August if lockdown was lifted early.
