St John Ambulance to deliver essential medical supplies to islanders' homes

St John Ambulance Guernsey are now able to deliver essential medical supplies to people's homes in the island.

The organisation has launched a delivery service after their Health Care Shop closed to limit people coming to premises because of coronavirus.

Islanders who need essential medical supplies are being asked to contact the service on 01481 729 268 or email sjhcs@stjohn.gg.

The charity has also set up a telephone helpline for anyone feeling lonely during the coronavirus pandemic.

They are teaming up with Carers Guernsey to provide help and support to anyone feeling isolated.

The charities say that anyone can contact them, even if it is just for a chat about the current situation, hobbies, soap operas, gardening or memories of Guernsey.

Anyone wanting to use the Caring Caller Scheme can do so by arranging a call with St John Ambulance on 01481 720 088 or email caring.caller@stjohn.gg

The Caring Caller line is open from 9am to 8pm.
