Guernsey's waste and recycling sites close
All of Guernsey's waste and recycling sites are closed until further notice, and islanders are asked to stop using recycling banks.
It comes on the first day of Guernsey's lockdown, which means people should not be leaving their homes unless their journey is essential.
This change will affect the Household Waste & Recycling Centre at Longue Hougue, and the Chouet green waste site. They will both also be closed to commercial operators.
Household waste and recycling collections are continuing as normal, however anyone who has tested positive for coronavirus or who is showing symptoms should follow Public Health advice on how to dispose of their waste.
