Coronavirus: Blue Islands confirms job losses
Blue Islands confirms seven new crew members have had their contracts terminated.
It follows the announcement that the company is cancelling all scheduled flights to and from Guernsey.
Advice issued by Guernsey’s government says that anyone arriving in the island must self-isolate for two weeks.
A spokesperson for the airline says it has "not been an easy decision" however the "impact of Covid-19 has had an unprecedented impact on travel and it has also meant that the new team members were not able to complete their training".
The crew members joined Blue Islands in early March.
