Guernsey Nurses ‘will walk out’ once Coronavirus threat passes

The Royal College of Nursing has said its members would be striking ‘next week’ if it were not for Coronavirus.

The union, which represents nurses, midwives and other healthcare workers, has been involved in a long-running dispute with Guernsey’s States over pay.

But now, according to the RCN, the ‘positive talks’ in February ‘broke down’ on Wednesday.

The RCN has agreed that nurses will not strike until the threat of Coronavirus has gone.
