Jersey General Hospital closes to visitors over coronavirus cases
Jersey’s General Hospital has been closed to visitors.
It comes as Health and Community Services identified two patients who have tested positive for coronavirus.
The hospital’s elderly residential wards (Oak Ward, Maple Ward and Sandybrook) have been closed to all visitors except for in exceptional circumstances.
The island's Health Minister called for calm while those affected receive the necessary treatment.
The Maternity Unit, Paediatrics and the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) will be open for visitors under national guidelines.
