Coronavirus: Specsavers office staff in Guernsey told to work from home
Around 550 office staff for Specsavers in Guernsey have been told to work from home.
It follows the latest advice from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson that people should start to work at home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
It does not include staff who work in shops, which the business say they are following the latest advice from Guernsey's government before any branches close.
Specsavers is the largest private sector employer in the island with the company's CEO saying the health and well-being of staff is their top priority.
Mr Perkins says the company still intends to provide eye care and audiology services under the current trading conditions.
