Coronavirus testing centre opened in Jersey
A Coronavirus testing centre has been opened in Jersey.
People who contact the Coronavirus helpline and have been assessed as being at high risk of carrying the virus will be referred to the centre.
The site which is based at Five Oaks is only open to patients who have been referred by the helpline from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
Islanders are also being reminded not to call the helpline unless they are suffering from the following symptoms:
A fever
Coughing
Muscle aches
Headaches
Islanders with a fever and these other symptoms should self-isolate until they are symptom free (for a minimum of seven days).
This applies whether they have travelled outside Jersey or not and is irrespective of contact with a Covid-19 case.
Islanders who think they have symptoms of Coronavirus should call thehelpline on 445566 which is open daily from 8am to 8pm..
