Scammers target islanders affected by Flybe collapse

Guernsey Police are warning islanders against scammers targeting those affected by the collapse of Flybe.

Emails and text messages are being sent to people advising them they can claim their money back through their credit or debit card with a link directing them to a fake website.

Police warn that while those affected may be able to claim money back from their credit or debit card providers, they would not contact them in this way.

NatWest has issued the following warning.

Islanders are urged to delete any such email or text and if they want to claim a refund, contact their providers directly. Anyone needing advice or support can contact Trading Standards on 234567 or scams@gov.gg. Islanders who believe they have lost money to the scam should contact Guernsey Police on 725111.
