Jersey landlords voice concerns over proposed new licensing system
More than 150 landlords have been to a meeting about plans to introduce a new registration system.
Laws requiring minimum standards for rented accommodation are being drawn up.
Currently landlords need to have a licence for houses but this does not apply to rented rooms and other properties.
If the plan is approved inspections would take place to ensure they all meet government standards.
Some said they could not see how the process would work and who would pay for it.
