Line-up confirmed for Guernsey Literary Festival
Adventurer Ben Fogle and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins are among those who will appear at the 2020 Guernsey Literary Festival.
The festival, which is now in its eighth year, will take place from Saturday 29 April to Friday 3 May.
Ben Fogle is the UN Patron of the wilderness. He has written several bestselling books as well as completing a number of challenges including climbing Everest and completing a six-day marathon across the Sahara Desert.
Richard Dawkins has sold millions of books around the world, particularly his bestsellers The Selfish Gene and The God Delusion.
The festival's International Poetry Competition will be judged by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage. He has published 28 collections of poetry and was Oxford Professor of Poetry.
Other names on the line-up include TV comedian Dom Joly, Radio 2 host Cerys Matthews MBE and environmental campaigner Tom Rivett-Carnac who was one of the writers of the Paris Climate Agreement.
The festival will be staged at venues around St Peter Port including St James, the Festival Hub in Market Street and the Guiles-Alles Library.
Tickets are available now to members and will be available to the public from Monday 10 February.
