Grouville Primary School hit with vomiting bug

Pupils and staff at Grouville Primary School in Jersey have fallen ill from a vomiting bug.

More than half of reception children, as well as a small number of staff, have been affected.

The school has been working alongside Infection Control and the classrooms have been closed while a deep clean is carried out.

The sickness has not been confirmed as norovirus, but parents are being asked to keep their children off school if they are showing symptoms.

They are also being asked to keep them off at least 48 hours from the last episode to make sure it cannot spread.

Parents can find more information and government advice online.
