Jersey politicians visiting USA to reinforce ties

Jersey's Chief Minister, Senator John Le Fondré and St Helier Constable Simon Crowcroft are visiting the USA to reinforce Jersey's ties with the country.

The CEO of Digital Jersey, Tony Moretta will also be on the trip to meet with members of the New Jersey Big Data Alliance, to promote student exchanges, research programmes and economic development.

Constable Crowcroft is set to sign an official twinning arrangement between St Helier and Trenton in New Jersey.

It comes after last year's visit to St Helier by Trenton's Mayor, Reed Gusciora when he officially opened Trenton Square in Jersey's business district.

During the visit, the Chief Minister will also attend an event arranged by Jersey Finance who first opened their New York office in October 2019.
