New Year's Day call out for Flying Christine

Fog at Alderney Airport meant the Flying Christine III was called into action on New Year's Day, to assist with a medical case.

Paramedics left St Peter Port for Braye Harbour at 12:20pm, where they were met by their Alderney counterparts.

The patient was assessed and monitored on the journey back to Guernsey and was then taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital for further care at 3pm.

St John Ambulance Guernsey would like to thank the volunteer skipper, navigator and engineer who made themselves available on New Year’s Day to assisted the medical crew on this incident.
