Plans for gorilla enclosure at Jersey Zoo will be submitted in 2020
Jersey Zoo is hoping to start construction of its new gorilla enclosure by the end of 2020.
Dr Lesley Dickie, CEO of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, said that if fundraising goes well they aim to ‘break ground’ by the end of 2020 or early 2021.

Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust will be submitting a planning application for the new enclosure later in 2020.
The pig enclosure is being moved to facilitate the new building.
The new building will cost several million pounds but the final cost is uncertain with quantity surveying work still to be completed.
