Nigerian ferry leaves Guernsey coast

A Nigerian-registered ferry which sat off the coast of Guernsey has now left.

The MV Jireh was travelling from Norway to Dakar in Senegal but stopped in the Little Russell between Guernsey and Herm on Wednesday 13 November.

The boat had previously sat off the coast of Jersey.

However, the vessel set off towards the south coast of England on Saturday 23 November.

Guernsey Harbours had been in contact with the vessel during its stopover but said they could not provide suitable berths.
