Over 3,000 children's Christmas shoeboxes to be sent to Romania

Over 3,000 Christmas shoeboxes will be sent from Jersey to Romania to support the country's poorest children.

The charity, Mustard Seed, say all 3,251 parcels will be shipped next week.

Local schools, work places, churches and community groups from Jersey and Sark supported the appeal.

The charity says it has received £2,500 in donations which has gone towards food, winter fuel, medical needs and general donations.
