Guernsey carpenters back home after refurbishing medical centre at Greek refugee camp

Two carpenters from Guernsey have returned to the island after helping to refurbish a medical centre at a refugee camp in Greece.

It treats some of the thousands of people including those fleeing Syria, who've made their way to the island of Samos seeking refuge in Europe.

Craig Thomson and Marley Montgomery say the experience was both 'truly shocking' yet also 'rewarding'.

The pair have been building a shelter at the camp's medical clinic which treats around 160 people every day. Credit: ITV Channel TV
