Andy Priaulx secures maiden World Touring Car Cup win in Macau

Andy Priaulx topped the podium in Macau to secure his maiden win in the FIA World Touring Car Cup.

The former world champion stormed to victory in the weekend's third race having started from second on the grid following his best qualifying performance of the season.

The result meant his team Cyan Racing finished the penultimate stage of the 2019 championship with three wins from three.

It is Priaulx's first world touring car victory since returning this season in a Link & Co car and completes his best weekend of the campaign.

The Guernsey star will now be confident of finishing the championship in style when it moves to Malaysia next month for the final three races.

Link & Co Cyan Racing go there having extended their lead over rivals Hyundai in the team standings to 72 points.
