Guernsey government to fund uniforms for transition to two-school model
Guernsey's government will fund new school uniforms as the island moves to a two-school model.
The decision to cover the cost of the uniforms at Lisia School, which will be split between Di Saumarez College and Victor Hugo College, was announced by the Committee for Education, Culture and Sport.
All students currently in year six and below will start the 2020/2021 school year in the new uniform.
School leaders will now consult staff and students about the crests and insignia for the new school.
There are no changes planned to uniforms at Les Voies School or St Anne's School in Alderney.
The government recently bought the site of Delisles Methodist Church as part of its plans to expand Les Beaucamps High School as part of the reforms.
