£70m Bath Street development is approved
A £70 million redevelopment of Bath Street in St Helier has been given the go-ahead.
The projects plan was to demolish a series of buildings currently on Bath Street, to make way for 144 apartments.
Le Masurier had previously said their original proposals gained enormous public support and will create jobs for the area as well as bringing in more than £1.6 million from visitors.
The plans have faced some controversy though, with a heritage group from the island calling for the existing buildings, which date back to the 1830s, to be restored.
