'Strong, balanced, dynamic' - Jersey name squad for T20 World Cup Qualifier

Jersey Cricket have named their 15-man squad for next month's T20 World Cup Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates.

Ben Stevens and Jake Dunford are included after missing the island's 50-over Inter Insular Trophy win over Guernsey last month because of injury.

Jersey continued their preparations for the tournament, which they also qualified for in 2015, with four victories in four games against Sussex seconds at the weekend.

They will also face MCC Young Cricketers in two matches this weekend before completing their warm-ups with a three-game T20I series against Qatar ahead of the start of the tournament on 18 October.

Neil MacRae's side reached the global qualifier after coming out on top in the six-team Europe Final, which was held in Guernsey earlier this summer.

They have been drawn in a group with the hosts UAE, Ireland, Oman, Hong Kong, Canada and Nigeria, with all of the games in group B set to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
