An airline funded by Guernsey taxpayers has announced losses of £7.6m for 2019 - £3m higher than previously forecast.

The management of the airline has been criticised by some Guernsey politicians and there are now calls for a full, dedicated debate on the airline in the Chamber.

Announcing the news, Chief Minister Gavin St Pier said it was 'not sustainable' that the States should be given 'informed choices' on how much taxpayer funding goes to the airline.

The States is due to publish its Budget for 2020 in October.

The airline provides vital transport links from Guernsey to Jersey and Alderney as well as routes to Grenoble and UK hub airports.
