Emergency calls to Jersey's ambulance service are rising year on year.

Already in 2019 there have been more than 5,000, and that figure will double by the end of December.

If you add in urgent and routine calls, those that fall outside the highest category, then we are talking about more than 14,000 in this calendar year.

Our cameras have been given special access to the island's ambulance service, so we have been out on the front line with the paramedics who are usually first on the scene of emergency calls.
