A team of conservationists have started a new campaign called the Pollinator Project.
It involves planting seed on private and public land to grow plants that help insects thrive.
Dozens of primary schools have signed up to the scheme in Jersey.
At Les Landes Primary School children have been watering their patch for the last three months in between their lessons.
