New Independent Chair of the Safeguarding Partnership Boards appointed
A new Independent Chair of the Safeguarding Partnership Boards has been appointed. Sarah Elliott will replace Glenys Johnston OBE, who will leave her post in August after six years.
Sarah will be the first pan-island Chair of the SPBs, working across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.
Following a career as a nurse and health visitor in the NHS, Sarah was theChief Nurse for the South of England, leading the quality and safeguarding agenda. Recently she has completed three years as the Independent Chair for the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Local Safeguarding Children Board and the Dorset Local Safeguarding Children Boards.
