Jersey's government urged to 'listen more and interfere less'
Jersey's government is being urged to come up with a population policy that helps fix the staff shortage in retail and hospitality.
It is one of a number of calls being made by business leaders to help the economy thrive.
The messages were made at a Chamber of Commerce event where the need for flexible population rules to stem a staffing crisis in retail and hospitality were highlighted.
The government's new retail strategy is due for publication later this month and a population policy is currently being developed.
