Sailor knocked unconscious on his yacht in Jersey

A lone sailor knocked unconscious on his yacht has been rescued by the St Helier inshore lifeboat.

The yachstman had been hit by the boom of his boat - which then drifted into a rocky area off the south coast of Jersey.

The lifeboat crew treated the man before he was taken to shore and handed over to paramedics.
