Guernsey Women beat Jersey in islands' first full international

Guernsey Women beat Jersey by seven wickets at College Field in the first full international played by the islands.

Jersey posted 114/4 in their 20 overs, Flo Copley top scoring with 39 after Katie Watson had claimed the Channel Islands' first ever T20I wicket.

Philippa Stahelin carried her bat for an impressive 56 from 52 balls as Guernsey got to their target with 13 balls to spare and retained the trophy.

Last year, the ICC - cricket's governing body - awarded all 104 associate members, including Jersey and Guernsey, full T20 international status, meaning the islands now feature in world rankings.
