Sark celebrates Liberation Day

It is the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Sark from German Occupation during the Second World War.

Islanders and guests are joining together to mark Liberation Day, which falls one day later than in Jersey and Guernsey.

Chelsea Pensioners and Ghurkas will visit the island's Occupation Museum in Rue Lucas.

They will then travel by carriage to the Island Hall where the visitors will meet schoolchildren, their parents and other islanders.
