Members of Jersey's Polish community have met to discuss their concerns about Brexit.

They raised issues with the island's Polish Consul at St Thomas' Church Hall last night to see what the impact the Brexit could have on them.

One of the main areas of concern was which administrative forms will people need to sign to secure their residency in the island.

The UK had been due to leave the block on 29th March, however EU leaders have agreed to Theresa May's request to delay a departure until 31st October.

An extension to the Brexit deadline has been welcomed by Guernsey's Chief Minister, while Jersey's External Relations Minister says the island is ready 'whatever the outcome'.

Plans were originally in place to charge E.U nationals living in Jersey a settlement scheme fee to stay but that was scrapped after the UK did the same.
