£200 million over ten years - that is the cost of a complete overhaul of Guernsey's digital infrastructure.

The States partnership with Agilisys Limited, a UK-based technology company, has been in process for the last two years.

It will involve updating IT within the States, as well as investment in the island's digital sector.

In June, the States will debate the proposal put forward by Policy and Resources.

The States say that 'as well as enabling the wider Public Service Reform savings, this will avoid significant additional costs anticipated in continuing to provide ‘in-house’ IT services for the States'.
