Guernsey's Fermain tower will be opening in its new form as self catering accommodation.

The former 18th century defence tower was actually designed to keep people out of the island, but its new refurbishment by the National Trust hopes to bring holidaymakers in.

The building is complete with a basement bathroom, living area and look-out point.

The charity has been fundraising for the development for around two years.
